The iPad Pro 11" with the M4 chip is the most expensive and the thinnest tablet Apple has made, and the two are connected: 5.3 millimetres of thickness leave very little margin to whoever opens it.
It is also the only iPad with Face ID and an OLED display, two components that change the conversation completely compared with any other iPad.

The panel is an Ultra Retina XDR tandem OLED at 120 Hz: two OLED layers stacked to reach a brightness a single OLED cannot hold. It is the most expensive display ever fitted to an iPad, and it is also fully laminated — glass and panel are one part. On a tablet 11 inches wide and 5.3 millimetres thick, a panel like that flexes: it has to be handled accordingly, on the way out and even more on the way back in.
It is the only iPad on this list with Face ID instead of Touch ID. The TrueDepth module sits in the bezel on the long side, and it is paired to the logic board: after a replacement it has to be recalibrated with Apple's procedure, which exists on this model. That is something to say before opening, not afterwards. During diagnosis we check whether Face ID works before touching anything, and we write it down.
The port is Thunderbolt / USB 4, up to 40 Gb/s: not the usual USB-C. A cheap cable can make a perfectly healthy tablet look broken, and it happens often. Before talking about replacing the connector, we try a cable we know is good.
