But it hides a detail that matters more than the spec sheet: it carries the weakest front glass in the range.

It is the only Motorola on this list with wireless charging, at 15 W. It sounds like a convenience and instead it changes the work: under the back cover sits the induction coil, which has to be disconnected carefully at every opening and put back exactly where it was. A coil refitted badly breaks nothing, but wireless charging stops working — and that is the kind of fault that surfaces a week later, not straight away.
The counter-intuitive detail is the glass: despite being the most expensive Motorola here at a 429 euro list price, it uses Gorilla Glass 3 on the front. That is the weakest protection in the range: it scratches and breaks more easily than a moto g56 costing 160 euro less. If yours seems to have scratched “too quickly”, that is not your imagination.
For the rest: IP68, fast charging at 68 W on a 4,310 mAh battery — the smallest of the group — and an optical fingerprint reader under the display, so panel and reader are the same part. No microSD slot: the storage is what you bought, and in case of serious failure there is no external card to recover data from. A note we always give, and it holds on any rated phone: after an opening the seal is restored, the rating is not. We reassemble with new adhesive and gaskets and the phone goes back to defending itself as best it can, but nobody reissues the rating. A different promise is not something anyone can verify.
