The panel is a 6.72-inch IPS LCD at 120 Hz, not an OLED. That is the choice that keeps the list price at 269.90 euro, and it is what makes this phone economical to repair: a replacement LCD costs a fraction of a pOLED. And there is a second advantage that only shows up on the quote — the fingerprint reader is in the power button, not laminated under the panel. Replacing the display does not replace the reader, and does not lose you the unlock.
The surprising thing on a phone at this price is the sealing: IP68 and IP69 together, plus the MIL-STD-810H military rating. IP69 is not immersion: it is high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. That means there is serious sealing adhesive under the display, and it has to be redone properly at every opening. A note we always give, and it holds on any rated phone: after an opening the seal is restored, the rating is not. We reassemble with new adhesive and gaskets and the phone goes back to defending itself as best it can, but nobody reissues the rating. A different promise is not something anyone can verify.
The back is not glass but silicone polymer, what the catalogues call a leather finish. That changes two concrete things: in a fall it does not craze the way glass does, so a “broken back” on these models is almost always a cut or a deformation rather than a spider web of cracks; but during opening it heats and deforms far more easily than glass, so it has to come off slowly and at a controlled temperature. It is why nobody should rush a heat gun on a Motorola. The tray here holds the second nano-SIM or the microSD, not both: if you need the memory card, the second line has to go on eSIM. It also has the 3.5 mm jack, now rare.
