The A26 sits exactly at the right point of the range: it takes 120 Hz from its bigger siblings and keeps the microSD slot, which the A36 and A56 no longer have.
It is also the first of the series to move up to IP67: compared with the A16 that makes a real difference the day it gets caught in the rain.

On paper the A26 looks like a grown-up A16, and in part it is: the same 6.7" Super AMOLED, the same 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W charging. But it moves up to 120 Hz, and that changes how the phone feels every day.
The two things that matter for repair are elsewhere. First: the rating moves to IP67, so after every opening the water-resistance seals have to be redone. It is an extra step that adds to the turnaround, and one we do not skip — a phone closed back up without seals is no longer the phone you had.
Second: the fingerprint reader is capacitive, not under the screen. That means a screen replacement does not touch it and no recalibration is needed, unlike what happens on the A36 and A56. On the repair side that is an advantage, and it shows in the quote.
