iFixit puts it plainly: DualSense, DualShock 4, Xbox controller and Switch Pro Controller use the same joystick hardware, the Alps RKJXV potentiometer. Drift on a DualShock 4 is not a sign your controller is poor: it is the limit of the component the whole industry used for a decade.
The battery is the part that brings most controllers back. It is a LIP1522, 1000 mAh at 3.65 V, and on the CUH-ZCT2 iFixit documents a valuable diagnostic detail: the battery is held to its bracket with adhesive, and missing adhesive means the controller has been opened before.
The touchpad is a separate module on a ZIF ribbon connector, not soldered. The difficulty is not the part but reaching it. There is even a dedicated ribbon-cable replacement guide, which tells you where the delicate point of this teardown is.
The higher capacities advertised by some aftermarket batteries (1300, 2000, 2200 mAh) are not verified by any independent source. If we offer them, we say what they are: the supplier's numbers, not ours.
