Repair service for Xiaomi Redmi Note 12

Repairing your Xiaomi Redmi Note 12

The Redmi Note 12 is the value-for-money phone, and precisely for that reason the question we get asked most is: is it worth repairing, or should I just buy another one?

The honest answer is that it depends on the fault. Battery and charging port come to figures that make sense on any phone. On the screen the reasoning has to be done together, weighing the cost of the job against what yours is worth today.

If it is not worth repairing we will tell you, and the diagnosis stays free all the same.

Redmi Note 12: when it is worth repairing and when it is not

The Redmi Note 12 carries a 6.67" AMOLED panel at 120 Hz and a 5,000 mAh battery: on paper a higher-tier configuration sold at a mid-range price. That is exactly why the repair-or-replace call on this model has to be made with the numbers in front of you, not by feel.

The two jobs that almost always make sense are the battery — after a couple of years of 33 W fast charging the drop is noticeable — and the USB-C port, which in this class is the first component to wear out. Both are common repairs, same day or within 24 hours.

The Note 12 still has a headphone jack and a microSD slot: two things that have vanished from recent phones and that can still be repaired here. The fingerprint reader is on the side, built into the power button, so a screen replacement does not touch it — an advantage over models with an under-display sensor.

Frequently asked questions about the Redmi Note 12

Is it worth repairing, or should I buy a new one?
On the battery and the charging port it is almost always worth repairing. On the screen it depends on what yours is worth today: we do the maths together after the diagnosis, and if the figure makes no sense we say so plainly.
Is the fingerprint reader inside the screen?
No, on the Note 12 it is on the side, in the power button. That means a screen replacement does not touch it and no recalibration is needed: an advantage over models with an under-display sensor.
Can the headphone jack be repaired?
Yes. It is one of the few recent phones that still has one, and it is a replaceable component.
Is it waterproof?
Only IP53, meaning splash resistant — it is not IP68. It should not be submerged and should not go in the shower: on this model water is a serious problem.
Do you also repair the Note 12 Pro and the Note 13?
Yes. The panel, cameras and in some versions the charging differ: send us the exact model and we will confirm feasibility, turnaround and a ballpark figure.
