Repair service for Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G

Repairing your Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G is the lesser-known twin: same name, same Italian release day, fifty euro less. And it shares not one part with the 5G.

It has something the 5G does not: a microSD slot. On a phone that will not switch on, that card is the difference between recovering your photos and not.

Free diagnostics. If you do not know which of the two you have, we will identify it.

Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G: the twin with the microSD, and nothing in common with the 5G

Watch out for one thing that matters more than anything else on this model: in Italy the Redmi Note 13 Pro was sold in two versions, 4G and 5G, and they are not the same phone. Different display resolution, different glass, different back material, different tray: the parts are not interchangeable. Before ordering anything we have to establish which of the two you have, and we do that at the diagnosis stage — you do not need to know.

The differences, concretely: here the panel is a 1080 × 2400 AMOLED against the 5G's 1220 × 2712, the glass is Gorilla Glass 5 instead of Victus, the back is plastic instead of glass, and the tray holds a microSD shared with the second SIM — something that simply does not exist on the 5G. Four different parts out of four. Ordering the 5G display for a 4G means throwing a part away.

The shared microSD deserves an extra line, because it is the one practical advantage the 4G has over the 5G. If your photos are on the card, it can be read with the phone switched off: in case of serious failure that is what saves them. The tray, though, holds either the second SIM or the card, not both. On sealing it matches its brother: IP54, dust and splashes, no immersion.

Frequently asked questions about the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G

How do I know whether I have the 4G or the 5G?
You do not need to know: we identify it during diagnosis, from the model code and the panel. It is the first thing we check, though, because ordering the 5G display for a 4G means throwing a part away — they have different resolutions and do not fit in each other's place.
Can I fit a Note 13 Pro 5G display on this one?
No. They have different resolutions — 1080p here, 1220p on the 5G — and are not interchangeable. The same goes for the glass, the back and the tray: four different parts out of four. It is why the first thing we do is identify the exact model.
I have a microSD in it: are my photos safe if the phone will not switch on?
If they are on the card, yes: a microSD can be read with the phone off. It is the one practical advantage this version has over the 5G, which has no card slot at all. If instead they were in internal storage, recovery depends on what is broken and we assess it case by case.
Can I use two SIMs and the microSD at the same time?
No: the tray holds either the second SIM or the memory card, not both. That is not a fault in your phone, it is how it is built.
Is it worth repairing or replacing?
It depends what broke, and we do the sums together before ordering. In this class the answer changes a lot between a charging port and a display. If it is not worth it we say so: that is the answer that loses us the job, and it is still the right one.
