Repair service for Apple iPhone 14

Repairing your Apple iPhone 14

From the outside the iPhone 14 looks like a 13. Inside it is a different phone, and that is the best news in years for anyone who repairs: Apple redesigned the internal structure and the back glass went back to being a part you replace on its own.

In plain terms: on the 14 breaking the back glass is no longer a disaster. On the 12 and the 13 it was.

iPhone 14: the model Apple finally made repairable

With the iPhone 14 Apple did something it had not done in years: it redesigned the inside to make it easier to open. The mid-frame became structural and both the display and the back glass come out independently. On this model the rear panel is a genuine spare part, not a housing job.

For you that means two things. First: if you only broke the back, the job is far less invasive than it would have been on a 13. Second: internal repairs — battery, charging port, cameras — are tackled from the rear, without touching the fragile display.

The rest of the sheet is close to the 13: a 6.1" Super Retina XDR panel, Lightning, MagSafe, Ceramic Shield, IP68. The 3,279 mAh battery starts to show after three years, and it is the most requested repair on this model alongside the screen.

Frequently asked questions about the iPhone 14

Why does back glass cost less to replace on the iPhone 14?
Because Apple redesigned the internal structure: on this model the rear panel comes off on its own instead of being laminated to the frame as on the 12 and the 13. That is why the job is far less invasive.
Does it have a USB-C port?
No, the iPhone 14 still uses Lightning. USB-C arrives with the iPhone 15.
Does Face ID keep working after a screen replacement?
Yes, if the TrueDepth module is intact: we transfer it to the new panel. If it was damaged in the drop it can be replaced and recalibrated: Apple supports this on this model, and the part can be ordered by independent workshops too.
Will the “non-genuine display” notice appear?
With a non-original part, yes, iOS shows that notice in settings. It does not affect how the phone or the screen work. If you want to avoid it the route is an original part, with the cost that comes with it: the choice is yours and we put it to you beforehand.
Will I lose the data on my phone?
Hardware replacements do not touch storage. The backup still has to be done: on a device that has to be opened nobody can guarantee you a hundred per cent. We still recommend a backup before any job, as a precaution.
