Repair service for Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

Repairing your Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

The Galaxy A53 is one of the best-selling phones in Italy of recent years, and it shows on the bench: it is a mid-range model people keep for a long time and are glad to repair rather than replace.

Two cases arrive almost every time: a broken screen after a drop and a charging port that no longer holds the cable. Both fall under common repairs, same day or within 24 hours.

Galaxy A53 5G: Super AMOLED display and under-display fingerprint reader

The A53 uses a 6.5" Super AMOLED panel at 120 Hz — flagship-grade quality on a mid-range phone, and also the reason a screen replacement on this model is not the cheapest in its class. It is worth spending it, though: the rest of the phone holds up very well.

There is one quirk of this model worth knowing: the fingerprint reader is built under the display. That means replacing the screen also replaces the sensor, and it needs recalibrating after fitting. On poor-quality parts that is exactly where the trouble shows — a fingerprint not recognised, or recognised only with effort. It is one of the reasons we insist on the choice of part for this model.

The A53 still has a microSD slot, now a rarity, and it has no wireless charging. The 5,000 mAh battery is generous but after three or four years of cycles it starts to fade: if the run time has dropped suddenly, it is worth having it looked at before fearing the worst.

Frequently asked questions about the Galaxy A53 5G

Does the fingerprint reader still work after a screen replacement?
On the Galaxy A53 the sensor sits under the screen, so it is replaced together with the display and has to be recalibrated after fitting. With a quality part it works as before; it is the first thing we check in the final test.
Is the A53 display OLED or LCD?
Super AMOLED. That is why the part costs more than on a comparable phone with an LCD — and also why it is worth repairing rather than replacing the phone.
Does it have wireless charging?
No, the A53 charges only over the USB-C cable. If yours no longer charges, nine times out of ten the port is the problem: first we try cleaning it, then it may be replaced.
Can I recover data from the microSD if the phone will not turn on?
Yes, the microSD is independent of the phone: if the device will not start, the data on the card is still readable. Data in internal storage is a different matter, which we assess case by case.
Do you also repair the A52, A54 and A55?
Yes, they are the same family with component differences. Send us the exact model — even just a photo of the About phone screen — and we will confirm feasibility and turnaround.
