Repair service for Samsung Galaxy S24

Repairing your Samsung Galaxy S24

The S24 grows by a hair — 6.2 inches instead of 6.1 — and reaches 4,000 mAh. It remains Samsung's compact flagship, and it remains a phone worth repairing.

Two years from launch, what reaches the bench is almost only broken glass. The battery will start asking for attention in a year's time.

Not sure what is broken?

Four questions and we tell you the likely repair. Then you message us with the problem already written in.

Galaxy S24: Victus 2, no microSD and no headphone jack — what that means

The glass moves to Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which holds up better than earlier generations. “Better” does not mean indestructible: on a phone with flat edges a corner drop remains the worst case, and when it goes the panel is replaced together with the fingerprint sensor underneath.

Two absences change how this phone is worked on. There is no microSD slot: everything sits in internal storage, so if the device will not start, data recovery is assessed case by case, without promises. And there is no headphone jack: wired audio all goes through USB-C or Bluetooth.

The 4,000 mAh battery with 25 W wired and 15 W wireless charging is the one that holds up best in the compact series. The S24 ships IP68: after every opening we restore the seals, and that is a step that adds to the turnaround.

Frequently asked questions about the Galaxy S24

It has no microSD: can I recover data if it will not turn on?
It is assessed case by case. With no external card everything sits in internal storage, and recovery depends on what has actually failed: we tell you at the diagnosis stage, without promises.
Victus 2 is tougher: should I worry less?
A little less, not not at all. It holds up better than earlier generations, but on a phone with flat edges a corner drop remains the worst case, and glass does break.
The fingerprint reader is ultrasonic: does that change anything for repair?
Yes. Unlike the optical sensors on the A series, an ultrasonic reader reads the ridges of your finger through the glass: it is more accurate and works with a wet finger, but it is more sensitive to the thickness of the panel fitted over it. With an unsuitable part it misbehaves, and it is the first thing we check in the final test.
Is it still IP68 after opening?
We restore the water-resistance seals at every opening, but no workshop can re-certify factory IP68: the seal is restored as far as it can be, but it is no longer the one measured at the factory and the rating does not come back. We say so plainly.
Can the headphone jack be repaired?
The S24 does not have one: wired audio goes through the USB-C port. If headphones do not work the problem is almost always the port or the adapter, and the port can be replaced.
